Hi, I'm Patti Booth, a surface pattern designer creating original, art-driven designs that translate beautifully across products and materials, including paper, fabric, ceramics, wallpaper, and hard surfaces.

Surface pattern design is the art of creating repeatable designs that enhance everyday objects—textiles, home décor, stationery, packaging, and more. My goal is to bring joy, calm, and visual interest into daily life through thoughtful color, texture, and storytelling.

In addition to ready-to-license collections and products available in my shop, I offer custom and personalized design services for individuals, brands, and companies. My portfolio includes surface pattern designs for textiles, consumables, home goods, and specialty products. Each design is created with intention, versatility, and quality in mind meant to feel distinctive yet timeless.

Inspiration & Education

While studying at the University of Hawaiʻi, I was deeply inspired by the ever-changing colors of the sky and ocean. Those years shaped my appreciation for nature’s rhythms, organic palettes, and the calming power of color.

Today, I enjoy a different but equally beautiful view of the Gulf Coast in the southeastern United States. Many of my color stories are drawn from these environments—soft coastal blues, sun-washed neutrals, and natural textures that evoke a sense of ease, balance, and connection.

Family, Creativity & Storytelling

Creativity has always been woven into family life. When my children were young, I began designing clothing and sewing one-of-a-kind pieces inspired by their imagination and curiosity. That hands-on creativity became the foundation for much of my design approach today.

Now, as a grandmother, I continue to be inspired by the next generation—by play, storytelling, learning, and the quiet magic found in everyday moments. Travel, family, and lived experience all inform my work, and I love weaving subtle cultural influences and meaningful details into my designs.
